As one who desires to know Christ, thereby having the Holy Spirit beckoning us to the call as Children of God, are you concerned at all with how powerless, how ineffective, how manipulated the message of the Cross is to those who claim it, but can’t name it?

It’s not a “name it claim it” game. That’s impossible. What should be the case however, and which is more gramerically correct, is if you claim it, you not should, but will be able to name it.

Why do we feel as if Gods response to mankind, depending on the person or people group, is grander or more of a confirmation based on how we worship? God calls our worship filthy rags. We are human and all made to bow down to something or someone. Glorifying our Maker is what we are generally called to do, yet most of His creation doesn’t; (Roman’s 1).

God made us all. To glorify Him. Not one better than the other. Not your shout is louder than my shout. Not you felt more of the Holy Spirit than I did. Not you cried in church and I didn’t. Not you raised your hand for prayer and I didn’t. Not you spoke in tongues and I didn’t. NOT our church is accepting and yours isn’t.

We are such a self centered, prideful, greedy, disrespectful people towards our God. We want to be over Him, not under Him. What is very disheartening, is that this attitude is put forward more by the Church than the world. The world is already going to do it due to having an unregenerate heart, but the Church doing it, is SIN.

If this doesn’t make the child of God extremely concerned with some who are falling away, then we ourselves have given in to the same schemes of the enemy.

We must not mix ourselves in with those who hype themselves up because “God is good and will give them all their heart wants”.

We must a people who are rightly dividing the Word of God which on it’s own calls one to repentance.

We must be under the weight of the Word, not the world.

This reality of our endurance in this life lies only in one of two questions–

1. Would you rather, for a while, have all that you have ever wanted, and continuously stress about your eternity, believing a lie of your acceptance by Jesus, and being blinded still by the glamour, OR

2. Know your eternity in Christ is sure and genuine while being the poorest and sickest man/woman in the world for your whole life?

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matt. 6:21)
