When Christians say they are “chosen” people of God, what it simply means is that they recognize they were once like their critic, they were once haters of Christians, and haters of the Word of God because they hated Christ. They loved the world and its rewards. They wanted their way, their say, or it ruined their day. Marching to destruction with their freedom, and their free will. 

Yes, they too were as those who have created the false Gospel of “free will when I feel like it, and Jesus can’t deny me because look at how much good I am doing for righteousness sake” mentality. A false gospel indeed.

 That is how we all are until God saved us by grace through faith on our own road to Damascus. On our way to ridicule and mock the very people who we became like-minded with, and that only by such marvelous grace and mercy. Christ met us before we loved Him and before we desired Him. All sufficient merit, shining like the sun. Blinding us due to our sin, and opening our eyes with the light of the Gospel of the one who took our sin upon Himself. 

This isn’t shallow enough for man’s free choice of it. 

It is profound beyond compare, and beyond understanding in its entirety. This is a great mercy that we must never diminish by our own will. We boast in Christ alone! Christians don’t make up fluffy Bible analogies to fit their wretched profile and think it appeases our Holy, Holy, Holy God. 

This is a mercy and grace of God that every chosen true believer will boast of, giving all credit, glory, and honor to Christ and Christ alone! We simply desire to glorify in, and boast of Christ alone. 

Believe it or not, Christ saves every believer the same way.

 He doesn’t offer His chosen people salvation. He gives it to them! If we want to assume that God “offers”  salvation to all people, then we would only be able to conclude that the all here would only be referring to all those who will not believe, but will still refuse the offer. Clearly then, these people are not of the chosen people of God. 

The Bible says in Matthew 1:21b- “He will save His people from their sins.”

Not that He might save them, not that there is a possibility that He will, but that He indeed will save them!

Salvation is based upon God’s will alone. It is not some weird initiation by God, but then the choice of man finishes the deal. Again, this is not an offer for God’s people to “accept”. There are dangerous unbiblical issues with that thinking. Holistically, Scripture itself doesn’t agree, and cherry picking justifies nothing.

John 3:16- “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 

Acts 13:48- “and [as many as had been appointed] to eternal life believed.“

2 Timothy 1:8-12- “Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God, who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, to which I was appointed a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.”
